We respect your privacy and process only the minimum data required to provide our service. This tool analyzes skincare product batch codes to estimate product freshness and age.

2. Data We Collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may process:

• Uploaded product images (optional)
• Extracted batch codes and brand names
• Technical metadata (e.g. request timestamps, error logs)

We do not require account creation to use the core functionality.

3. How Uploaded Images Are Used

If you upload a product image:

• The image is processed to extract batch codes using OCR
• Images may be temporarily stored to verify OCR accuracy and resolve analysis errors
• Images are not used for marketing, profiling, advertising, or model training
• Images are not shared with third parties

4. Image Retention

• Uploaded images are stored in encrypted infrastructure
• Images are automatically deleted within 14 days
• Only extracted non-image data (e.g. batch code, result) may be retained for service continuity

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process data under:

• GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) – processing necessary to provide the service
• GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) – legitimate interest in ensuring OCR accuracy and service reliability

6. Data Security

We apply industry-standard safeguards, including:

• Encrypted storage
• Access-controlled infrastructure
• No public access to uploaded files

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to your data
• Request deletion of uploaded images
• Object to processing where applicable
